ABEL is being talked about in the media 📰

BATTERIE MAGAZINE

EN : Inspired by Benny Greb & Joe Bergamini‘s famous Rhythmic Alphabet [as well as Phil PerkinsRhythmic Alphabet, Carl Wilhelm Grimm‘s Musical Dominoes, and methods of Jaki Liebezeit (Dashes/Dots system), Gary Chaffee, Mark Guiliana, Udo Dahmen, David Lomazzi, Dante Agostini, George Lawrence Stone, …], Hughes Gallez decided to create his dominoes. (…) Those methods gave Hughes the idea to create a deck of cards incorporating binary and ternary combinations, adding divisions by 1 and by 2. He thus created an alphabet with a letter for each cell, and since the main ones (1, 2, 3, and 4) fall on the letters A, B, E, and L, he decided to call his deck of cards ABEL! It is available in two versions: black cards, which offer a symbolic representation of the divisions, with dots for notes and dashes for rests, and white cards, which display the figures written in traditional rhythmic solfège. Of course, you can play with several people, each performing the phrases suggested by the randomly drawn cards (…)

Fun and educational!
