As a drummer, he has been awarded 78 gold and 42 platinum records that he has appeared on. He is also a record producer and music director. The album credits that show his work include Elton John, Cher, George Harrison, Natalie Cole, Bob Welch, Bill Withers, Billy Preston, Ike & Tina Turner, Sly & The Family Stone, Eric Burdon, Ronnie Woods of The Rolling Stones, Gil Scott Heron, Billy Thorpe, and many more. In 2018 he received the lifetime achievement award from the Coachella Valley music awards. He was also awarded the 424th Golden palm star on the Palm Springs walk of stars on palm canyon dr. STÉPHANE AVELLANEDA started playing drums at the age of 5. He took classical percussion lessons (vibraphone, xylophone, etc…) and also went to different European drum teachers in various styles such as blues, rock and Jazz. At 18, Stéphane began his professional career with MERCY. Stéphane Avellaneda has been the official drummer of the Ana POPOVIC band for 10 years. He was nominated as Top 5 blues drummer by the Drummies Awards in 2015. Stéphane recorded and played live with several artists such as Carlos Johnson, Jean-Baptiste Guégan, Ben Poole, Robyn Bennett, MontparnassE, Billy C Farlow, Marko Balland, Walther Gallay, Brian Ellington and started his own project RoSaWay in 2018.
